Life-Like N Scale E Units

Is it just me, or do the noses of Life-Like N scale E8A units look incorrect? I was looking at Walther’s and I compared the Kato E8’s with the Life-Like versions and the nose light looks wrong. It appears the Life-Like design has the light down too far on the nose, with the top-edge of the light housing not being level with the top of the nose.

The Life-Like N scale E8 nose is not as good as the Kato model. But the price and paint jobs tend to make up for it. Some of the paint schemes show the difference, others seem to mask it.
