I just tried to order some Life-Like 0-6-0 parts from Walthers for a project on a Like-Like 0-8-0 and was told the parts are only for warranty service, they can’t be sold for other purposes.
Well, that really stinks. What a lousy policy! @!#$($)>!!!

As far as I can tell, Walthers buying LifeLike was a bad thing for the N scale word. Sadly.
Remember when Walthers emphasized “craft trains” and build it yourself?

I know what you mean, I was buying Proto parts from Life-Like like crazy for detailing and bashing jobs, then Walther bought them, the prices went off the scale, then they became “unavailable”!!!
Nice job Walthers, I’m still looking for more of the 0-8-0 tenders to use behind my Spectrum 2-8-0’s but not having much luck anymore.
