Light replacement, P2K BL-2

Looking for suggestions on replacing a burned out light on an older P2K BL-2. I could replace the bulb with an identical bulb, (haven’t looked yet to see exactly what that is yet), or I could upgrade. Filiment or LED?

Right now I’m running DC, but I will be converting to DCC in the fairly near future. The engine is not decoder equipped yet, but it will be. Does this change what replacement bulb I should put in? If I go LED, what resister if any do I need?

Can anybody shed some light on the subject?[:D]

If your planning on going to DCC get some Grain of wheat bulbs that are 1.5V(i think if i’m wrong feel free to correct me)

Since there haven’t been a lot of discussiion, I guess that I’m just worrying too much about this, and should just replace it and move on?
