Lights and scenery

A few questions for all the helpfull folks out there. First, let me say that the layout I am constructing is a Lionel pre war O layout.

Lighting. There’s a few buildings and background flats I’ll be lighting by adding lights. I’ll want to have these on the same circuit as my 184 bungalos, 191 mansions, 127 stations etc. All of those have 18volt bulbs in them. Does anyone know if fistures for those #132 Lionel bulbs are available (without having to buy all the separate pieces)? Just thought I’d check to see if anyon had any timesaving oprions there.

Scenery. I’m looking to add some landscaping details around my houses. And I don;t envision being able to afford all the landscape plots in pristine condition like Chuck Brasher, I’ll be making some. So, does anyone know of good materials to make some of that shrubery? Particulary the bushes.

Look forward to more great ideas from the forum folks.

tj,

I am not a prewar expert - but many of the lamps use what is called a subminature screw base.

A good source for lamp bases is:

www.mouser.com

p/n 35LH002 or 35LH010 (p25 of their catalog #618) both under $0.75 each

My local hardware store carries the porcelain bases at about $2.50 each.
