Lights

Hey Everyone:
Was wondering if any of you have any good site links that sell HO scale model lighting. One thing I have noticed that sets the high-energy big-city scenes at many train shows apart from mine is that their lighting is much more elaborate. The lights along with the structures, vehicles and people gives the scene the feel of a snapshop of a high energy city. In hobby shops it seems that all you see is the same old plain white bulb. Any thoughts?

Happy Modeling!

PJ,

There aren’t too many off-the-shelf lighting kits for structures. I make a few for some specific purposes, but most folks just do their own.

As in most things, variety is the spice of life. Use a variety of different approaches for structure lighting - LEDs, incandescents, different colors and intensities. Whites, yellows, oranges, etc even within the same building.
