These are some pics of my first layout after 3 months work. Many thanks for all the help and advice which has helped me so much. Just wanted to share the results of my work after following the forums and advice given here. The layout is 6x8, split level. Its just a simple freelance trackplan with the emphasis on me learning new scenery techniques to take to my next layout when this one is complete, hopefully within 2 months. I cant wait to start my big layout 22x18 but I still need to learn on this one first.
The bandwidth of Geocities has been exceeded and unfortunately none of the photo’s are showing up! Also, when this happens you can’t access the web site either!
There are some really nice elements to your layout. The water, the bridge, the landscape in general. I really like that giant HO scale glue bottle. I’ll bet it’s a collector’s item. I hear stuff like that is going for over $1000 if it is in mint condition. [:o)]
Hey, your layout is looking REALLY nice there, Karl! I like the coaling tower and the tressle. Are both of them kits, or are they scratch bulit? Keep up the good work. [:)]
The tressle is scratchbuilt, hence it is very out of scale and unprototypical, but hey, wtf. The coalingstation is a model power Bors kit. And I cant think of any situation or location where a modified BMW is inappropriate, but thats just me [:D]
