Lion

LION is still waiting for his copy of the March MR.

ROAR

Great tip. I read the related post a few weeks ago in this Forum and I was impressed. How cone nobody thought about it before. It is so obvious. There is a part of my layout that has to be rewired. But I postponed the task for monts because I would have to crawl under the layout. Now I know better.

Thanks to Lion. Congratulations to Elias for is participation in MR.

Every LION has to have his pride, with good reason! A tip o’ the cap and congrats on having a great reason to ROAR!

A great idea Elias. I wish you had written this tip two years ago when I started my new build. Nuts! Doug

Eh? Well I did not start this layout this way. I had the cables and patch panels on the back wall of the layout, and it simply became more and more difficult to work with it as the scenery grew up around the access. THEN I took it into my head to add working signals and automation to the layout. THAT is when I gave up and started putting the wiring on the fascia, and I have not looked back. Soon all of the wiring will migrate to the fascia and I’ll pull out and reuse the wires and cables that I put in before a track or hill was made.
