It seems that around 1947 Lionel had a cheapened version of the familiar 022 switches, the 022A. It had no bottom plate, no constant voltage plug, and used 027 type controllers. It did have the non-derailing feature. Can anyone give me any more information on these? Apparently they didn’t last very long in the Lionel inventory!
