I was recently given a box of O gauge equipment and one of the things I got was a Lionel 150 loco! I did a little research and found out that it was really old. I really like the engine and It runs really well. I went to a toy train show and picked up a new bell as it was missing and a new headlight bulb. Here’s my question to you, should I repaint the loco as the paint is really ruff, or should I leave it alone because it’s so old? I would say that there’s only 30% of the paint left. Thank you for your input!
I have a #150 with the two #600 four wheel coaches. It was Lionel’s price leader first cataloged in 1917 and it ran to 1925.
I fully restored my locomotive and cars in “Maroon” with “dry transfer” lettering from Al Bennet. His daughter took over his business when passed on, who is running their prduct now ? You might try “J & A Hobbies” in PA. (add in TCA News)
