does anyone know if there is any information or photos of the layout
featured on the back cover of the lionel 1957 consumer catalog?
Are you looking the the “O” or “Super O” version?

Mike thanks for the reply. I am new to the forum.
I would like to build the super “O” version . I currently have some super o track.
some power blades and ucs sections [ NO SWITCH TRACKS YET]
I have all the components [engines, rolling stock and accessories] I am mising the
final six accessories which are needed to complete phase one of this project.
I have yet to see anyone who has ever built this project.
it certainly would be great to know that someone else has completed or is in
the process of completing it.
i will check out your super “O” guide ASAP
thanks keep on tracking

This is the Jack Kindler layout with the glaring error in the lower left corner. There is a tresstle bent in the middle of the lower track from the elvevated track that is crossing it. It is shown in the Kalmbach book CLassic Lionel Display layouts You can build by Roger Carp. It is also one of several layouts featured in a RR Track disk of Classic Lionel Layouts:

Here is a site with a scanned in image of the track plan:

Note where the trestle bent falls at the bottom of the L .
