Does anyone know the footprint for the Lionel 213 Lift Bridge? I have a friend who wants to buy one if it will fit his space. Does anyone have one for sale or know to where to find one other than on ebay?

It was in the Lionel Volume 1 catalog in 2002. Item # 6-14167 at $ 399.95. Dimensions approximately 26.5" x 5" x 15". Try some of the shops listed in Classic Toy Trains magazine. This is the metal one like what was originally supposed to be offered in about 1953. Lionel made another Lift Bridge earlier than that that was wider. I think it could handle 2 tracks. Had sound as well as operating lights. Think it was more plastic.Never saw it in any of the catalogs I have access to.

Thanks, Charlie.
There are a couple on ebay now from $375 to $500.
Search for this item number.

The old one was from 1991. Number is 12782. Didn’t take more than one track, but the opening was probably bit wider and higher than the newer 213. 30" long, so it replaces 3 standard Lionel O gauge straights. Larger structure overall, and plastic as noted above, but looks nice, has railings across the span and ladders up the side of the towers. Do a search on ebay for 12782 in the lionel section for a few pics of the old one if you are interested.
Here’s a neat write up for the 213:
Dennis,
I pulled mine out of the box as I was curious about the footprint I will need eventually.
The base is 5.5 x 30 inches. The height is 15 inches. The 30 inches is from the ends of the rails. A nice fit since O tubular and Fastrack standard straight sections are 10 inch sections.
So it is a bit longer than what the catalog stated.
