has anyone run accross issues with wiring this accessory. seems to be very straight forward…3 supplied wires go to the controller, then two posts connect to the power supply.
in my case, the Led on one side lights up when power is supplied, the other on the far side of the bridge does not illuminate. when the controller is engaged, it only lifts from one side, the side with the LED working. looks to me that no power is getting to the other side.
I’ve tried every variation of connection of wires to the posts…power and control…nothing happens on the one side. There is no wiring schematic. Lionel is closed for telephone help until next wednesday.
On my bridge I found that there was a loose wire to one of the two LED lights. I repaired it myself.
Switch LED light poles and see if they both work. If so, look under the tower for the wire and trace it. You may find the same thing I did. Sorry I don’t have more details. I fixed it a long time ago and I don’t remember the exact location.
thanks for the advice. i switched the LEDs. makes no sense, but they worked. Then i switched them back as before and they still worked.
I then noticed that the gears were not catching on the side that wouldn’t lift so i manually turned it and… Lo and behold, a set screw the size of a pin head appeared…fortunately i had a set screw wrench small enough to set the screw tightening it to the turning rods…Voilla!
