I’ve seen a couple of Lionel 2245s and a few other later F3s with a “2333-20” embossed on their diecast powered A unit frames. Can someone expand upon this? Was this a common part used in various F3s since the original 2333?
Thanks

PGTR,
All horizontal motor F3’s used this frame 1948-1955(carry over 1956). Lionel, like most manufactures use common parts that can be used on multiple applications - mechanically how the motor/s are arranged and horn placement attachment points varied on many models 2333, 2343/44/45, 2353/54/55/56, 2245. The 2245’s are unique because they were the only single motor F3 to use this frame. Hope this helps!
Thanks and yes it does. Confirms what I was presuming or guessing.
