Lionel 8008

I bought a Lionel steamer 8008. It appears as if it might be DC instead of AC. It will not run with my other steamers, am I correct on this one? Thanks for any help. It’s blue in color . Best Regards, Jake

I honestly have no idea about the 8008. Does not ring a bell with me.
But if you want to check if it is DC model, just connect a good 9 Volt battery to it and see if it is alive, otherwise use a diode with your AC transformer.

Yes it is a DC only Loco
