Lionel 8690 trolley 1986 time

Hello to all & Merry Christmas. [:)]

We have this 8690 trolley that my dad would like for me to see if I
can get a new body for. He would like to get it so that he or
I can get it but back together for one of my 2 boys for Christmas.

He gave me all of the parts for it. I am only needing the top & 1 of the end window films of the 2 guys for it but not the roof or any of the other parts.

He was given it from a customer who no longer wanted it as he is going to HO & getting out of Lionel. If you think you might be able to help please let me know.

First I would get it back together as much as I can and see if I can get it to run correctly befor looking for the parts seeing there not needed to make it run. also make sure it reverses like it should.

2nd by the time you get the parts and pay shipping you may be real close to buying a new one but you can try Jeff at the train tender email jeff@ttender or better ( he prefers calling) 585-229-2050 hes there most nights and days except he use to take Fridays off.

Thank you for the contact information. The trolley is complete & in very good working order. by looking at it, It would appear that it ran into or fell into something that hit the fron corner of the cab & caoused it to crack & break at the corner.

Well just got off the phone from Jeff At the train tender & no such luck on a top at his location so… Any one have any place else I could try ? After talking to Jeff I think I have tried most every where.

ED I asked another contact (sorry only way I know is thru his sales on ebay) if he has one he should answer me tomorrow sometime.

It may be a different shell than what you have as in design but they may have one that will fit

Thank you for the help. I was thinking of trying Lionel today but it slipped my mind. That is until you reminded me. I will try them in the morning & see what I can find.
