My Cab 1 power dial doesn’t boost the power to the track. Looking inside didn’t reveal anything mysterious. A red wire to a disc was loose and I re-attached it but still no response. Any ideas?

Try changing your batteries. Most often, when the batteries start to get low, the red dial is the first thing that won’t work.
When you move the red knob does the command base’s commuications light (the red one) blink? If not, change the batteries and try again. If the light does blink, you’ve got the addressing messed up. The CAB-1 has “stickey” key functions that allow it to remember things last pressed. If you accidently “dailed” the “wrong” address for one of your power supplies or were accessing ENG or some other function, the PowerMaster/TPC/ZW will not respond correctly. If the light on the Command Base doesn’t blink, there is something else wrong.
