Are their any more Lionel Challengers (HO) out there anywhere? I don’t do Ebay so that source is not available to me. I appreciate any help. Tks

ebay or a swap meet/trainshow are about the only places you’ll find one of these AFAIK. I got one two years ago from modeltrains.ca, and it turns out that they had it listed on ebay as I spoke to them. They agreed to a slight reduction in the buy-it-now price, and since they were as scarce as hens’ teeth, I gritted my teeth and bought it. Can’t say I have been disappointed for a single second…it is not the best detailed model of a Challenger, but it is absolutely a first rate runner…and heavy!

The Lionel Challengers have been out of production for a while now (I think a couple years), so I’m guessing they’re sold out pretty much everywhere at this point.
I did find a couple stores that do appear to still have them, but I’m not sure if they’re up to date or not.

Darth - Do you know if the smoke deflectors are removable? SVT trains has them for 389.00 I think that is a good price. All they show is the oil fired with deflectors however. Thanks for the links.
