The Lionel SD-90’s (both the Canadian Pacific and Union Pacific) were released a couple months ago. My local dealer completely sold out of the CP so fast I was not able to get one. Your freind may wany to talk to the dealer who took the order. I am not sure if Lionel is planning on a second run of these engines or not.
From what I have seen lately, Lionel has made tremendous improvements at meeting their published shipping dates. Most products today are comming out on schedule. This is a vast improvement from their performance as recent as two years ago.
