Hi! Does anyone know how to wire modern Lionel electrocouplers ( found on Legacy engines). The wires fell off of mine when I removed them from the locomotive. I’m assuming one wire goes to hot the other to ground. How do I accurately find hot and ground on the coil of the coupler? Thanks! Brad.

The coil ought to be bidirectional–it’s just a solenoid. If you can find the loose leads of the coil, then just resolder them as you see fit.
