Hi. I have a set of two 6-14098 Lionel mainline crossing gates and two 153IR infrared controllers and would like to set them up so that the gates are activated regardless of the direction of the train. If I understand the manuals for the gates and controllers correctly, I need a diode and a relay to make this work. The diode I was able to get at Radio Shack but the relay indicated in the manuals did not show up on the Radio Shack list of products even with the given RSU. I am wondering if anyone has accomplished this setup successfully and specifically what electric components and wiring were used. Thanks for any help.
