Anyone know where I can purchase the 2 flat cars with the Ford Mustangs mounted on them from Lionel’s set # 6-21953?
I have been watching eBay for a number of months with no luck. Any help or info anyone has would be appreciated
The hobby shop around teh corner from me had this set on display for quite a while. Not sure if they still have it, but I’ll check when I am in there next week.
Thanks. I have seen a few sets locally, but I never see them broken up where I can get those 2 flat cars.
Hello tme1972! Try Joe Gryzboski’s in Scranton,Pa. He may have them as he usually breaks up sets and sells them seperately. He also has a webpage and runs Ads in CTT. Hope this helps.
Ok, I went and checked that out, called him up and tried to see if something could be worked out, but no such luck. Anyone else have any ideas?
Well this is thinking a little out of the box. But with all the different diecast Mustangs out there why not pick up some flat cars from K-line or MTH and swap the cars out with Mustangs.
just a thought

You make a valid point Tom.
However, here’s my issue. I have a Lionel loco #8622, that’s black with a yellow stripe and it says Union Pacific” on it. When I bought this loco and tender my wife and I decided that we were going to make our own set and it was going to be all “Union Pacific”. When we went looking for some rolling stock that would match this color scheme we got a caboose right away but we looked at a K-Line box car later on that we wanted to add too, and it just looked a lot bigger then the caboose, tender and loco. Course the other thing that I have always had trouble with is finding something that matches up in scale to the Lionel trains. What’s the right scale that I should be looking for?
tme1972,
Try the Train-Station.com, call them, they are in NJ. They often break up sets and run the pieces in their auction. I know I have seen these mustang flat/car combos on the list. Ask if they have any around. Good Luck, Dennis
The set my local shop had was sold when I checked.
