Hello Everyone,
I know, I’ve bad mouthed the quality of the Op. FasTrack, but I want to say that I did not read my sales receiprt carefully and when I went to my local hobby shop, to see if the item is repairable, one of their repair/sales persons looked at my sales slip and said that I had three more days on the warranty.
He exchanged it without a problem, checked the damaged unit to find that the electro-magnet was functioning and it appeared that the problem might have been in the controller, as Dennis mentioned.
And, yes he checked the new one which operated properly for both Uncouple and Uload.
So, now I have a functioning, expensive straight section of track, which I intend to be more careful with.
Lionel’s return policy is still good.
Thank you Dennis and everyone who mentioned problems with the Op. FasTrack.
Merry Little Christmas,
Ralph
It’s good news to read your reply. Many times people come here and other forums to complain and then don’t come back to say All is Well. glad your problem was solved.
Thak You, James,
For your compliment.
I was feeling low about the FasTrack problem and I should have known to be more understanding that I was the problem for not rereading the operating voltage range again.
And, I did not read my sales slip more carefully.
Again, Thank You,
Merry Little Christmas,
Ralph
Ralph, glad it worked out for you. I am working on mounting my control switches to the control panel and trying to pick a spot that allows for me to operate the track and also be acutely aware of the button so that I don’t have a similar issue.
Thanks for getting back to us…just another great function of this forum, allowing us to help each other out.

Thanks, James and Dennis,
For your understanding and support.
I realize now that I’m not the only one who experiences problems and expenses with this hobby.
Model railroading is too much fun to get upset when something dosen’t work properly.
I’m just going to learn, be patient and have fun.
Ralph
