Today when I came home from work, I got a call from Lionel. I had sent my first rebate form in for the 2009 Volume 2 Lionel Rebate Program last Saturday. To my surprise the woman processing my form had noticed that I missed an item on my original receipt that qualified for the rebate. I had neglected to list the Santa Flyer locomotive and she wanted to let me know she was adding it. Now thats some great customer service, and I just thought it deserves mentioning. Next time I wont wait until its almost 30 days before I fill out the form and send it in. Good job Lionel!

On my rebate form I asked that my original receipt be returned to me for my records. It arrived yesterday. Once again, I am impressed with the good service with this program.

I would send an e-mail to Lionel letting them know what that she did so well. Service like that is getting harder and harder to find anymore, and it should be noted. It’s nice to know their customer service is still in the USA, and not in India, Mongolia or on Mars.
