Opening of the Lionel Store in Rockefeller Center November 1, 2009.
Located directly across the street from Radio City Music Hall, the Lionel Store opened it’s doors for the first time today.

This is lovely. My father remembers seeing the vast train displays in downtown Toronto during the early sixties and it is unfortunate the this sort of window-dressing has become a lost art in some circles. Now if only Lionel had its own display department and a proper showroom layout…[:)]
WOW !!! It’s about time Lionel did a smart thing by opening a store in Manhatten. I sure miss Madison Hardware on 23rd Street.[:D]
Oh awesome! I love New York City! I was there in june, and stayed at the Marriot Marquis Hotel. We also did all the typical sightseeing and caught a few broadway shows (Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, and Mary Poppins). The opening of the Lionel Store makes it even better!
