Hello All,
I have one Switch (5122) with a loose Swivel Rail. When switched to turnout side the Swivel Rail doesn not sit snug against the outer rail (Red oval on pic) and stays a little loose causing cars and locos to ‘pick the switch’ and jump tracks. Switched to the straight side, it does not have this problem. From what I can tell the rail link bar has a little play where it attaches to the swivel plate (Yellow circle on pic). Is there any way to fix this? I have looked at all the connecting pieces and all seem to be fine with no ware visible.
Hi Rick,
that’s the manual 0-27 switch, correct? I was just looking at this today! I bought two of them last year, one closes properly, the other does not. The one that doesn’t close completely has been set aside for now. I do not have an answer right now, since everything is rivoted together. You may have to get another switch for now.

Sorry, mine is the Electric O-27 version. I should have mentioned that. I did order another one just in case but i already wired this one for my layout so i was hoping to be able to utilize it.
Thanks for the reply
I believe that the remote and manual versions of these turnouts share common parts, such as the swivel rail.
I have some of the remote ones somewhere, been years since I used them. vaguely feel like I had this problem too somehow, and it was only with one of them. But this was many years ago. I would guess there are ways of adjusting for better behavior, but I don’t have enough recent experience with them to offer advice.
