Is the lettering on the side “The Texas Special” supposed to be painted on or is it heat indented" like the Santa Fe 2343? I have one that is painted on and I am trying to determine if its original or a repaint? It looks original in every sense except the letters are not heat indented.

The original was painted glossy red and the white was silk screened on afterwards. There was a mask for the script lettering “The Texas Special”. This results in the “feel” of the lettering.
The David Doyle book says,#2245 the red lettering on the sides was the red paint that had been masked off.
