Does your local Menard’s have the Lionel train set this year? 'Cuz mine doesn’t [:(]. - a.s.
This is an alert for all those “holding out” for a discounted price on the C&NW passenger set at Menards. It appears these sets are selling at the sale price of $199 well. I was hopeful of a slashed after Christmas bargain - but it might not be realized. I am heading back to my local Menards to check today. Any of you that are watching the status of this neat set, please give us an update. It might be too late to get one as the above indicates!
My stores down here in mid Indiana (Lafayette and West Lafayette) still have several at $164. The Dale Jr set is $149, the model power metal ho set is $89 and they still have some flatcars with #15 Menards nascar for $29.95 now. They also still have several Dale SR expansion packs for 49.99. They do seem to be out of the LL freight set though, it was also marked down to $149. No track expansion sets either.
I am worried though that the CNW set won’t go much lowerr or last much longer! Ihave been in ther every day since I am in the middle of a Kitchen remodel [xx(] But then again I’ll watch the sets and if they get to low, I may get one at the $164.
I also noticed someone selling one on the Bay for $199 or buy it now at $219.
Gone…gone…gone… they are all gone! The C&NW and Lionel Lines sets are SOLD OUT at the local Menards. I waited too long… It appears there are plenty of Dale Jr sets now marked $149 but not too much as far as expansion track packs. My last visit there ( 2 weeks ago) counted 10 sets of C&NW. If you were holding out for a low price, I suggest you buy now before you end up with a sad look on your face. I don’t think I have pouted like this since I was 8 years old…
I guess maybe I should get it now and if it goes more on sale, I could get another and resell one for the 164.
Someone is selling last years WC pass set for 129 or 165 buy it now, 129 would be a steal!
Al, call the Menards in Crystal Lake, they’re still there. Not too far out of the city. Or they’d ship.
