Lionel "Thunderbird" set unboxing pics

Carl went up to Sommerfeld’s Trains in Butler Wisc., and scored a 31776 Thunderbird set from the new Conventional Classics line.

Because of the special retro packaging, we shot the un-boxing and thought folks might like to take a peek. It is under the NEWS pull down under Hobby News, or go here:

We’ll review it in our July issue.

You need to do a review on the Lionel AC6000’s too Bob… they are the FEF’s of the diesel line. Absolutely the most detailed diesel Lionel has ever produced.

We’ll probably wait for the next run of road names.

I love these Photos Bob!!!.

Is it me or this packaging just awesome. Why can’t they just pack everything that way? It’s so much cooler and it’s the kind of thing that Lionel owns. So many people opened up their sets that way years back.

Nice looking set! If you have a chance during your review, please run it on Fastrack with an operating section. I would be interested in seeing if you have any issues (like I have). Thanks - Bob
