Help! I just got a 1997 Lionel torpedo locomotive and the command functions work fine (including the rear coupler), but there is no sound. What I’m having a problem with right away is that there’s no markings to indicate which way the on/off and volume controls operate. The instructions aren’t too helpful, either. If anyone has a torpedo, can you help me. If you have the engine and tender in front of you with the engine on the left, which way should the railsounds on/off switch and volume control be set?
If I can’t get the sounds working, has anyone done a railsounds upgrade to this engine? What did you use?
