Lionel Trains: The Golden Years, 1950-54
I have read this special issue from cover to cover so many times now, I need to order a 2nd copy for preservation purposes.
IMHO, this is the BEST run of any train magazine ever, as I always find something within it I did not notice before, and in fact as my collection expands, I keep finding sections that are pure gold to me.
If you do not own this CTT special issue yet buy it before it’s gone!
The combination of Vintage Ad’s, photos of all your favorite Post War Lionel Trains, and great insight and articles from Roger Carp, and the rest of the CTT team is priceless.
I’ve ordered this issue for myself & another Lionel fan & it is very well produced. I had a fairly large Lionel layout during this era and I’ve found this publication to be very enjoyable. Roger Carp has done a great job selecting the photos, the original advertisements etc. and really captured the excitement that I remember experiencing myself! There was nothing like Lionel trains in the 50’s. Congrats to Kalmbach and CTT. Well done!
