LIonel tubular track, backfeeding center rail?

Hello, new to the forum. Running into an issue while creating my own insulated track section. Basically a loop of Lionel tubular with 022 switches, a uncoupler section which has worked fine for years prior to trying to add accessories. Using a vintage ZW transformer. I want to use isolated track sections to operate accessories. I made track section (outside rail) isolated, soldered wire to that section and ran it to one post of a 252 crossing gate. Other post of gate is connect to β€œB” post for fixed voltage, set at 14v. Non-isolated track common and center rail are connect to the common/β€œA” posts respectively. Problem is if there is a locomotive on the track (anywhere) with no voltage applied from"A" post,(the β€œA” post can actually be dis-connected), and I jumper the common rails to test activate the gate, power is getting to the center rail somehow and tries to run the Loco. (conventional loco). Unable to figure out how/why? Thoughts?

Ridealong, I can’t answer your question, but I wanted to welcome you to the forum. I’m sure someone can find the answer!

Thank you for the welcome. Please call off the hounds. After some PD I had some wires bass-ackwards. I should have paid more attention to my own wiring.
