Ok…here’s one for ya. I have a UCS track that will sound the whistle on two of my Williams diesels. The tracks are powered by a aux. terminal. With the aux. power disconnected to the UCS track… It still does it.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why??
Thanks,
Chuck

I have an older Williams geep that does the same thing, the horn will churp. The rollers on Williams are wider, and may be offset a bit from center. Brief contact with one of the UCS blades probably causes a spark that activates the sound board.
My Williams GG-1 was having a similar problem on a UCS track, but instead of the horn going off there was a 2 amp spike as it crossed the UCS track. I swapped the UCS with one on a siding and the problem went away.

Thanks, Brady.
I was beginning to think that I was the only one with that problem. I have thought of swapping the UCS to a siding too.
