LL N Scale Berkshire

BLW has the LL Berkshire listed @ two different prices. One @ $112.50, and the same one for $175.95. I emailed them asking why the big difference in price and what were the differences in the loco. BLW wrote back saying that the cheaper ones were an overstock of the 1st run. I’m wondering what the difference in the locos are that would account for a $62 price difference when both are listed at $250 retail. Any thoughts about this?

Dont waste your time with it, its incorrect for all but one prototype, NKP I believe, it barely pulls. Dont put it on any kind of grade. You might get four cars out of it on a grade.

Actually, the P2K Berk is also correct for the Pere Marquette and C&O (which bought the PM in '48).

There’s no difference between the first and second release of engines. Just like car dealers, hobby retailers just want to pu***heir old inventory out the door, which is why the price is lower. As for it’s performance…it runs VERY smoothly, but it IS a very poor puller. But then again, so is virtually all N scale steam (10 cars is about the max for any of the new steam, except for the Spectrum 2-8-0 and Con-Cor 2-10-2)
