Local Politicain trying to buy BNSF railline

Ron Sims is still trying to buy BNSF 18th Subdivsion from Renton to Snohomish. Today Ron says “My number one proirity is to buy this track for bike and pedestrian use” operator of the Sprit of Washington Dinnner train Nick Temple is trying to save the line as the Dinner train is major tourist attraction, also the line carriers a single frieght six days a week

Who’s money is he trying to buy it with? His or taxpayers?

Somebody better get behind the Dinner train,or track and all will be gone before you can say what happened? Danny

This is just another example of short sightedness. Rip the tracks up and then spend millions more later to replace it. Look at the Link light rail and how much it resembles the Seattle Tacoma Interurban how nice it would be to have that rail line back. Not to mention putting more trucks on an over crowded I-405 and putting the Spirit of Seattle Dinner train out of business.

BNSF is willing to sell to anyone lets just hope its another railroad
