Most of the Bunter Ridge locomotives are in their spartan “Undecorated Gray” paint scheme, but will get the newer livery as they get shopped. Some of the FA/FB units may get sold off (3 pairs were bought as projects to upgrade and sell, but who knows) and the RSD12s may get pared off when I consider converting them to DCC. All of the Katos and half of the Atlases are DCC.
Hmm, I was actually writing out my whole roster in Science class a few days ago, lol. Any ways, here’s all the eqipment that I use (all HO, by the way):
I have a 4x8 with a 30x70 extension to make it a backwards L. It is N scale.

I’ve been selling down my engine collection over the past few years, consolidating and rationalizing my collection, so I might have missed a few that I still have, but from off the top of my head, my roster looks something like:
Life Like P2K S-1 x1
Life Like P2K PA-1 x1
Life Like P1K F3a x2
BLI SW7 x2
Bachmann Spectrum 44 tonner x1
Sometime this year, I plan on adding another 4-8 engines to my roster, mostly Bachmann engines of older prototypes and the upcoming Athearn 4-4-0, as I’m assembling a fleet of older engines for occasional 1915 OP sessions.
Well past way too many and well on the way to “WHAT THE ***** ARE YOU THINKING” category of rosters. Besides you can never have too many locomotives, right???
I model logging in Northern California in the Mt. Shasta area about 1911. I Freelance a lumber company that has both 30 inch gauge and standard gauge woods locomotives.
SP services my mill with mixed train service and the Weed Lumber Co. delivers wood to a wye on the SP for delivery to the Weed mill located south of my freelanced mill.
Freelanced 30 inch gauge:
Joe Works- 18 ton Climax
Joe Works- 10 ton Shay
Scratch- Class B Climax (using an N gauge diesel mechanism)
Scratch- 10 ton Verical boiler Climax (pushed by N gauge Diesel hidden in a tank car)
Freelanced Standard Gauge:
Joe Works- Gypsy
NWSL- Verticle boiler shay
Spectrum- Climax back dated to wood burrner.
Prototype:
Spectrum- 3 truck Shay ( Modified to McCloud River no. 16 leased to Weed)
Spectrum- 4-6-0 ( to be modified to SP)
Spectrum- 2-8-0 ( to be modified to SP)
MDC- 2-8-0 Old timer ( to be modified to California & Northeasten no. 3)
Yes, when both the house, and the storage area at the club are overflowing, and then a complete fairly large storage unit hasno more space - You have too many locomotives…
