Locomotive break-in period...

What would you folks consider the break-in period for the average N scale steam engine ?. I’ve heard some say an hour of running it at medium speed, while others say a couple of hours with pleanty of starts and stops, and running it at various speeds.

A half hour at varying speeds in both directions, with varying loads, and turning both left and right.

break in run times loosen up tightness of running gear, wear it in a little, make sure its lubed up.

Forward reverse and switch with it and run it light and loaded. Two hours is probably good to get it going. I myself never concider a loco broken in till it’s had fifteen good hours on it,and usually a relubrication as depending on how long it sat at the hobby shop some of the lubrication may have dried up.
