you mean toilet (crapper)? Man, if compleatly forgot about WC, I never even asked myself where the engeniers go to the little engeniers room while in the middle of nowhere
On an earlier post, about a technical question( his first post on here) He mentions that he is from Croatia. I think it’s fair to presume that english is a second language for him. I’m sure his english is much better than my croation![:)]
THere was a recent show on the History Channel, regarding the history of the Toile/water closet, and it was mentioned that one of the early models was one that was made by the “John M. Crapper Company” and was so embossed, I guess to the extent that the name became part of the language, like Kleenex, Band-aids, Q-tips and others…maybe that will be some information for our friend from Croatia[:D][:D]
Most toilets are in the nose .On a wide body they are on the right side as you walk thru a second door, with a vaccum or plunger type toilet.I think it takes about 80 psi to operate the vaccum ones.A septic recovery sytem "dumps"the waste. Also there is a tool box that hangs to the left with air hoses, chisel’s,hammer and wrench. Most of your rail view camera electronics are across from the toilet along with the cab signal equipment. You also have a little box on the wall with flares in it.And the sand box is tucked in there to.Standard cab loco’s have a sand box,and toilet in their nose section. If your very tall it is a tight fit,and hot.
