I need to remove the loco shell on a Walthers/Proto 2000 0-6-0 to refinish it. I’ve removed a good many other shells, but this one has me stumped. I don’t want to break it. Instructions, hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom

Tom,
On the Walthers 0-8-0 tenders, there are 4 screws on the bottom side that need to be removed - one in each corner. Once those are removed, the tender should pull right off.
Oops…I just realized you were talking about the locomotive shell. [:$]
(Another) Tom
I think he’s wanting to take the boiler off.
Yep, The tender is a piece of cake. It’s the locomotive shell I’m concerned about.
Thanks,
Tom
