Hmm, yeah, if you did a reset, then that should clear it. Odd that it appears to be happening to a second locomotive now too.
I was speaking from a recent experience. I had gotten a new locomotive with an ESU loksound decoder and had inadvertently hit the function that controlled a “hand brake” function. It meant the engine still revved up but the wheels never turned. I did a factory reset and was able to get it moving using the generic 03 address but everytime I programed to the long adress I had been using, the same issue happened. I found that for my locomotive, function 3 was the hand brake. Pressed the 3 key and all was alright. Again, not sure that is what you are experiencing, given other locomotives are now having trouble.
I re soldered the wire and the sound returned and the loco lurched a couple of feet then stopped and the cab indicated an overload. I have reset it several time and it sometimes runs backwards very very slowly before stopping. The other is a #8910 Walthers
[ GE ES44AC )that runs the same way. They both move once in a while very very slowly, then stop. I have reset both of them several times on the program track and the main track, cleaned the wheels and track. Do you have any suggestions?
PS I think the caboose with sound and lights may have been responsible in some way. A while back the caboose and the sd-60 switched numbers and responded to each others address. It took me several attempts to get them back to normal.
