How do the current models from each builder stack up to each other in terms of maintenance, fuel economy, cost, production figures, etc. Any user comments?

I found one of the hardest things about beng new on the forum is finding the information you’re looking for…and there’s lot of good info here! It can be daunting to page through the threads looking…and sometimes, the title of the threads are more tounge in cheek than directly usefull, so you can spend a lot of time and not find what you are looking for. (Sometimes there is also more opinion than facts, but you’ll soon sort that out!)
It took me a while to figure out that one good way to start is to use the Search window at the top of the list of threads…enter a term such as “EMD vs GE” and see what happens… lots of folks use the “Notify” function on a thread, so that if someone posts a new comment, they get an E-mai. That way, they dont have to keep visiting that page. If you post a comment/question on a thread that has been inactive a while, it still goes to the top of the que, so people know a new comment or question has been listed.
I hope you didnt take thre previous response as being short and snippy…most folks here are real friendly and helpful, but often dont have time to chat immediatily and want to get you an answer as soon as possible. I wont speak for tree68, but I am pretty sure that was his intent…usually, when folks want to be insulting or snide, they take great pains and are quiet creative!
