Logistics Qs: Ramp and cars

I’ve got two Qs associated w/ the Cornerstone State Farm Supply (#933-2912)'s included ramp:

  1. What other equipment could I use to mimic the movement of tractors or other heavy cargo off the cars and onto the ramps or vice versa?

  2. Should I have the ramp parallel to the track or can it be perpendicular? The latter would give me more room for putting in grain silos.

TIA!

Lee

Check this out for a variety of equipment, including plows. Depending on era, RR utilization vs trucks should be considered. Currently a lot of eqpt is shipped via RR to a yard and loaded onto trucks for delivery to dealer.

Ramp is normally at either at the end or parallel I’ve seen some with a horseshoe type arrangement.
