Hey Everyone

Im just getting around to do some LOK sound installations. I have two sd90mac’s kato that im putting the decoder in plus about 8 or 9 sd40’s sd40-2’s kato with lok sound. Has anyone had any good luck milling the fuel tank weight to put the speaker in? I need some help, a friend of my owns a tool and die shop, i just need to some help on how to mill, did you remove the entire weight of the loco? What did you use for a cover for the speaker? Any problems you occurred?

You need to completely disassembly the models to the bare frame.

The opening you machine should be a fairly close fit to your chosen speaker. Note that LokSound decoders need special high impedance speakers.

Remove is little of the wieght(s) as practical to fit the speaker and decoder.
