London Olympics relied on rail transit
Watching the games on TV were fun. For all the fear of a subway bombing, it didn’t happen. Transportation has to be taken into serious consideration when planning major events as this to make it a success. It certainly did not happen here in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida during the GOP convention, because Tampa Bay has no rail transit, ferry boat services, or even carpool lanes on area freeways to speak of, which created a traffic mightmare for us.
