lonely hobby

Anyone in the Roseburg Oregon area interested in sharing this great hobby - no clubs, just looking for an informal way to establish local contacts.

On the East Coast. My uncle was retired from BNSF’s Wishram Division, and my favorite train flick is Emporer of the North, so I feel we have something kindred…

Even though separated by 3000 miles, just a click away thanks to the “internets”.

Try getting people together for a public display at a museum or a business interested in attracting people with action and sound.

Put a flier up in your local hobby shop asking if anyone is interested in getting together. We did that and now have a group of us that get together once a month socially at a “member’s” house to run trains, chat, and of course have a bite to eat. No dues, no officers, no rules. I send out an e-mail early in the month asking who wants to be host, if no reply, no get together.
