Ironic that a construction project designed to keep the line in service in the event of storm damage is resulting in bus substitutions.
Few have the railroad they grew up with becoming the subject of a piece here.
@Christophe Parker If the LIRR feels that they can’t operate their trains and you don’t like buses, then what would you suggest? People walk to the first open train station? I don’t think so. Drive? Ditto. I would like to read what you’re solution. Yes, I like buses because there is no train service where I live in New Jersey.
