Long Island Rail Road installs new displays in Penn Station
Commuters say it is very difficult during crowded rush hour to read these new displays. The old spinning letter signs at least got and held your attention.
In areas like the Central Concourse the new signs are a vast improvement over the single old poorly placed CRT display that gave track assignments. Now you can see the track assignments from almost anywhere in the Central Concourse. A few glitches such as text overwriting some track info but I am sure that will be worked out.
