Look what Santa brung!

Santa has promised me this baby for nearly four months. Wow! [8D] One of our members has pestered me to show a photo, and being the accommodating sort…[:D]

Selector,

That is quite a thing of beauty, now I’m envious 'cause that B&O EM1 just hasn’t come along yet. ****… as I wait…

I hope it comes in for you, Bob. It sure is a different market, very suddenly, and even a newbie like me notices it. It’s all about numbers these days. I hope the number comes up for you.

One picture doesn’t get it Selector. We need video with sound!!![:D]

So now you what to rub it in…

Hmmmmm… that thar looks to me like one o’ them Y6b Mallet thingies.

So Selector, are you gonna stoke that baby up and show the Trainmaster who’s boss? [swg]

I thought steam retired 50 years ago? [:D]

That diesel in the background sure looks nice… [:-^]

That’s downright per-r-r-tty, Crandell. I know you’ve been waiting patiently for that one for a while now. Looks like it’s quite at home already. [:)]

Tom

Assuming it has sound, does it have the correct “hooter” whistle? [:D]

That thing is a pure beauty. It looks superb on your nice layout. Happy railroading and a happy new year!

Magnus

Hijack! Sorry couldn’t help it since I’m an EM-1 freak too. According to one of the moderators on the BLI forum, they are considering it and maybe in about two years. If they make it he said it will probably made like the New Haven I-5 brass hybrid. Considering how beautifull that one is we can only hope that it comes true. I’ll get thirty of the bugger if I get the chance.

Hijack over, sorry,

Magnus

[bow]

Very Very Cool !

That’d be me![:-,]

Diesel? What diesel? [swg]

Selector–

Definitely a thing of beauty! Hope you have enough cars, that sweetheart looks like it could pull your entire house around behind it, LOL!

Enjoy.

Tom [:D]

Thanks, everyone, for your good wishes. [:)] I played with it when I had 15 minutes yesterday, and screwed up during the extended address programming. I had mis-typed the address (0220 instead of the correct 2200…like…d’uhhhh!) Then, I erred by programming a reset on a Tsunami out on the main in Paged Mode. Huge D’OHH!!! Fortunately, only the three Soundtraxx decoders reset and none of my QSI’s. Jeeeeez. [B)]

Long story short, I am back in business, and the y6b has already hauled its first short drag of hoppers. Lemme tell ya, that is one sweet model.

Yes, eeyore, the hooter is close enough to make me feel like Loksound and PCM actually made the effort. I woudn’t really know, but it seems close to the old footage I have seen with sound. The air pump sound at idle is simply the best there is in a decoder that I have heard, even better than the Tsunami.

Every engine I have introduced to my layouts, without exception, has required adjustments in the rails to at least some extent before they were happy. Not this baby; she articulated herself along my main like she had built it herself, and still owned it. [:D]

Sooooo…I guess I’ll hang on to her. [(-D]

Thanks, again, fellas, for being good sports.

-Crandell

I can relate to what your saying about adjusting the rails. My Y6b’s ran perfectly on even the dodgiest piece of track. They really are supreb engines.

Magnus

She is BEE-U-T-FUL !!! What I wouldn’t give to have a layout she could run on but I’m afraid it would look silly on my elfin empire, otherwise I’d plunk down the green in a heartbeat. (even though I was told that the minimum size track for the Bachmann Spectrum model would be 18" rad.)

Enjoy running that awesome lokey !!!

Bob
