my 40x60 is a little tight for the engine that came with this set - plus it is my sons birthday. i want a good quality car not a cheap one and it must be lionel as i am building a collection.
Think you will get a better answer at the Classic Toy Trains forums. This one deals mostly with HO and N. My first train was a pre-war 0-6-0 O scale switcher. Saw a modern one at a train show last weekend, so they are out there. I even think it was a Lionel. Good luck,

That would be the one I would buy. I have run them before and the work well, even comes in UP.
