Can anyone supply me with a website for Amtrak 1970’s
locos. I’m particularly interested in Amtrak’s early switchers
and critters.
There are back issues of Extra 2200 South that would have the info you’re looking for if you don’t mind going low-tech.
Do you have the 8-72, 3-73, 12-75 and 2-80 Trains magazines ?

get a chance. Just found several books in my library which
are helping me out = Diesel locomotive rosters and several
diesel spotter guids by Kalmbach.
I’m mainly interested at this time in getting pictures of all
the Amtrak locos. It’s suprising on most websites, the pix do
not show clear trucks or wheel arrangementsand just show
a black blur or the pix are shot from a distance or shown
in a train consist.
All or most of the steam loco builders, when they produced a
new loco would place it in front of their plant. The drivers would
be placed at the extreme bottom & a white back ground would
be placed behidnd the loco and no foliage, etc would be shown.
