Hi Everyone,
Here is a random question. I am looking to buy an MTH Penn Central (Despatch Shops) SW8 diesel switcher. Apparently, this engine was produced by MTH sometime around 2001 or 2002. (MTH Stock number is: 30-2220-0). The MTH product locator says a store in Broomall, PA has one in stock. Not so. (I called this afternoon).
The model is based on the one colorful switcher that the PC probably rostered. It is black with a green stripe painted around the carbody, PC “mating worms” and lettered for “Despatch Shops, Inc.”.
That being said, has anyone seen this particular engine up for sale recently at their local store, or any suggestions on how to find one.
